What is Architecture?
Architecture is the art and science of designing buildings, spaces, and environments that shape how people live, work, and interact. An architecture degree develops your ability to combine creative vision with technical knowledge — covering structural engineering, environmental sustainability, building regulations, and digital design tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
In Malaysia, architecture is a regulated profession governed by the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM). Graduates must complete a Part 1 degree, a Part 2 professional degree, and practical experience before becoming fully registered architects. Malaysian architecture programmes are well-regarded regionally, with graduates working on landmark projects across Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
Why Study Architecture?
Shape the built environment
Architects design the spaces where people live, work, learn, and heal — your work has a lasting impact on communities and cities.

Strong professional pathway
The LAM-regulated pathway provides a clear career progression from student to registered architect, with international recognition.
Growing urbanisation demand
Malaysia's rapid urban development, smart city initiatives, and infrastructure projects create strong demand for qualified architects.
